Environmental Policy
Beyond its commitment to commercial success, ANTS also prioritizes its corporate social responsibility. Understanding the interplay between the external environment and internal business dynamics, we place great emphasis on this issue, from improving company processes to refining individual employee practices. We aspire to achieve sustainable environmental goals and become a cornerstone of societal development. Currently, we are actively implementing ISO 14001, aiming to save energy and avoid waste by examining every stage of the product lifecycle, thus fulfilling our environmental responsibility.
Design Process Optimization
As part of the equipment supply chain, the transfer of product components is frequent and extensive. Our goal is to reduce component packaging consumption and assess the feasibility of packaging material recycling. Furthermore, we require designers to incorporate this concept into the product design phase, using more environmentally friendly processing methods and materials, and reducing the use of disposable consumables during production to minimize the environmental impact of product manufacturing.
Real-world example: Increasing localized production of parts by over 30%. In the early stages of design and development, key components are designed with local production capabilities in mind. Local production of parts shortens supply chain distances and reduces energy consumption during transportation.
Work Method Improvements
In complex workflows, we are experimenting with a paperless work environment, using electronic tablets instead of paper copying. In 2021, we reduced paper usage by 12,000 sheets. In frequent communication and exchange, we are consolidating similar meetings to reduce resource consumption. Among our facilities and equipment, we prioritize energy-efficient products, from air conditioning and lighting to personal computers, striving to create a people-friendly and environment-friendly work environment.
Practical Example: We improved the threadlocker coating process, changing operating methods to reduce glue spillage and waste, reducing usage by up to 35%. Additionally, we improve shipping and handling lines quarterly to achieve greater efficiency and a more user-friendly work environment within limited space.
Environmentally Friendly Living
We ask employees to reduce the use of disposable tableware and to use rechargeable personal tools such as mice, flashlights, and presentation pens whenever possible. We encourage our employees to reduce their orders for takeout meals or bring their own food containers to decrease the use of disposable food delivery containers. We also hope that our employees will participate in carpooling initiatives and do their part for the world through their actions.
Conflict Mineral Management
"Conflict minerals" refer to rare and precious metals such as(Au), (Sn), (Ta), (W) produced in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries. Some of these metal mines have become a major source of income for armed insurgent groups in eastern Congo, who use these revenues to engage in arms dealing, violent conflicts with local governments, and oppression of local residents, thus sparking intense international controversy.
Applied Nanotech declares and commits to not using metals from conflict mining areas and requires suppliers to comply with the following instructions:
1. Commit to complying with the EICC's policy of not using conflict minerals and not accepting minerals ((Au), (Sn), (Ta), (W)) from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries that are used to directly or indirectly finance armed conflict.
2. Applied Nanotech clearly conveys and requires suppliers to immediately and proactively disclose any conflict metals found in their products. In addition, when the supplied products contain potentially conflict mineral components ((Au), (Sn), (Ta), (W)), the supplier must sign a "Guarantee of No Use of Hazardous Substances".
Social prosperity
Declaration of Equality
ANTS pledges and declares that it will not engage in restrictive discrimination against individual employees based on race, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnic origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, political affiliation, veteran status, genetic information, or marital status. The company is committed to creating a truly equal workplace where every employee should enjoy an equal and comfortable working environment.
The company respects employees' legal right to peaceful assembly, and employees are free to join unions or form associations as they wish. Applied Nanotech is committed to complying with the RBA Code of Conduct published by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA). This code aims to create sustainable shared values in labor, environment, and business transactions within the global electronics industry. The company voluntarily adheres to the RBA Code of Conduct, striving to fulfill its social and environmental responsibilities and ensure that employees receive the respect and rights they deserve.
ANTS recognizes the freedom of religious belief of every employee and allows employees to reasonably arrange their own religious activities within the scope of the company's operational permits.
Talent Development
To ensure sustainable business operations and improve the professional skills of our employees, our company has established an "Education and Training Management Procedure" to manage and plan employee training courses. This includes sending employees to external training courses and inviting lecturers to conduct short-term in-house training sessions. This aims to enhance employee knowledge and skills, improve overall employee quality, and boost business performance.
In 2021, our company offered various education and training courses for employees, with 667 participants and a total of 341 hours of in-house and external training. The training completion rate was 86%. We also received government subsidies and recognition through the 2020 "Large Enterprise Human Resources Enhancement Project." We hope that through these opportunities, in addition to cultivating the knowledge and skills required for their jobs, we can provide employees with a diverse and continuously growing work environment and atmosphere.
Local Responsibility
ANTS actively builds friendly relationships with surrounding community groups, hoping to achieve mutually beneficial results through local connections. In 2021, our company sponsored the Qionglin Elementary School's painting competition and the basketball team. By sponsoring part of the funds and equipment, we supported the operation of Qionglin Elementary School and also provided an opportunity for employees and the community to interact.

Public Welfare Participation
ANTS, with the aim of contributing to society, continuously engages in various public welfare activities. Leveraging the collective strength of large enterprises within the association, it assists the government and local residents in reaching a win-win consensus, preventing ecological damage caused by wastewater and air pollution, thereby promoting social prosperity, responding to social needs, and fulfilling the corporate social responsibility principle.
20kW solar panels put into operation
As we grow in the application of nanotechnology, we are accelerating our efforts in environmental protection and energy conservation. In 2021, we installed two solar panels with a total capacity of 20kW, which officially went into operation in March. We are committed to working together to promote the vision of green electricity and renewable energy.

Energy Resource Management
Annual Energy Saving Performance
Global climate change caused by emissions of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide is a critical issue for sustainable business operations. Applied Nanotechnology aims to contribute to society by setting an example and implementing energy conservation and carbon reduction measures.
Statistics show that carbon emissions in 2024 were reduced by 117,779 kg compared to 2020.
Through efforts from 2022 to 2024, carbon emissions were reduced by a total of 355,192 kg.
